Taking over and further developing the Cyrrus investment house website
Cyrrus is a Czech securities trader that has operated on the market since 1995, is a member of the Prague Stock Exchange and Deutsche Börse, and is supervised by the Czech National Bank. As Kentico as a platform is not tied to a specific development company, Cyrrus was free to part ways with its original supplier and entrust us with developing its project. Since then, we have migrated and continued to develop the project over the long term. During that time, Cyrrus has grown significantly: it now manages over CZK 90 billion for more than 24,000 clients.
What needed to change
As a leading Czech securities trader, Cyrrus needed a reliable partner to take over, migrate and subsequently develop its Kentico project after parting ways with its original supplier. As the Kentico platform is not tied to a specific development company, it gives the website owner freedom and, most importantly, the option to change development company without having to change the entire system.
A key component was the migration of the customer section, where clients manage their investment portfolios – sensitive financial data requiring reliability and uninterrupted service. Meanwhile, Cyrrus underwent significant growth: from entering Deutsche Börse in 2014, through introducing actively managed investment certificates in 2016 and expanding beyond the Czech Republic from 2021 (Bratislava, Zagreb and Budapest), to establishing its own licensed investment company in 2024 following a 31-month approval process with the Czech National Bank. The website and customer portal had to support this growth without compromising credibility or stability.

How we approached it
We took over the project from the original partner and migrated it to the Kentico EMS platform with a Kentico Portal Engine architecture. The solution integrates Cyrrus’s internal systems and includes an enhanced customer section, where clients can always keep their portfolio close at hand, clearly organised and without unnecessary extra steps.
As this is a financial services project involving sensitive data and a growing volume of assets under management (now exceeding CZK 90 billion), we have continued to develop it over the long term with 24/7 support services, guaranteeing continuous monitoring of operations regardless of how much the client base and transaction volume grow.
What the project delivered
The migration went smoothly and, thanks to its expanded customer section, Cyrrus now offers clear access to investment portfolios to a significantly broader client base than it had at the time of the migration. At the start of our collaboration, Cyrrus managed investments for approximately 8,000 clients worth CZK 22 billion. Today (as at 20 April 2026), this has grown to more than 24,000 clients and over CZK 90 billion under management. These figures reflect the company’s overall growth, not just that of the website, but show that the platform has handled this growth without the need for another major rebuild.
