Sazkabet is Sazka a.s.'s platform for sports betting.
As part of the largest lottery company in the Czech Republic, the site must handle high traffic, securely manage user data, and deliver a clear, fast experience even at peak times.

The original site ran on a closed "box" solution with outdated design and limited customisation. This hindered further development and scaling. The project aimed to create a new platform—faster, more stable, and ready for future growth.

The site had to fit the specific sports betting environment, where accurate, real-time data display is crucial. The biggest challenge was massive websocket integration and ensuring stability under heavy traffic—for example, during the ice hockey world championship when the site hits record visits. The new Sazkabet met these demands smoothly.

A new foundation for digital betting

The project was designed on a microservice architecture with CMS Xperience by Kentico to handle extreme traffic and enable future growth. The frontend, a single-page application in Vue.js, is connected via websocket for real-time odds updates, and Redis cache cut response time from seconds to milliseconds. The result is a fast, stable, and clear platform that manages even hockey peaks.

Cooperation with Bluesoft on developing the new betting website was excellent. The project was very complex – it included many specific features, integrations and had high demands on performance and security.

Bluesoft handled everything with ease, great professionalism and a positive approach. I appreciate their ability to think about solutions in context, respond flexibly to changes and maintain quality even in challenging phases of the project. The result is a modern, fast and reliable website that we are very satisfied with.
