Consolidation of MND Energie's web environment
MND Energie is one of the largest independent gas and electricity suppliers in the Czech Republic and part of the MND Group (Moravian Oil Mines), the Czech Republic's leading oil and gas extraction company, with a history dating back to 1913. In 2025, MND decided to consolidate its web environment and move to the modern Xperience by Kentico platform. The aim was to unify content from two outdated CMSs into one solution, simplify website management and ensure long-term stability and room for further development – all within six months.
What needed to change
MND Energie, a gas and electricity supplier serving more than a quarter of a million customers across the Czech Republic, was running its website on two outdated CMS platforms at the same time. This made content management more complicated, slowed development and increased the risk of errors when updating prices and price lists — one of the most sensitive areas of an energy company’s website. The project aimed to eliminate this fragmentation by consolidating content into a single modern solution, simplifying website management for editors, and ensuring long-term stability and scope for further development.
Speed was also a key requirement. The entire transition, including content migration, implementation of a hybrid headless architecture and integration of backend data on energy prices, had to be completed without disrupting the operation of a website relied on by customers in the often turbulent energy market.

Our approach
We built MND a new digital platform using the latest Xperience by Kentico technology, with a hybrid headless architecture and Content Hub as the single source of truth – one central location for content used by all parts of the website and any future channels. We launched the website as a 1:1 migration to ensure a smooth, trouble-free transition for users, then began a gradual optimisation focused on improving UX, text clarity and simplifying the customer journey through to the order form.
The solution includes integration with backend systems and energy tariff data – a critical component for a company where prices change and must always be up to date and accurate. The platform runs on ASP.NET Core, C# and .NET 9, with a Vue.js frontend and hosting on Microsoft Azure managed using the Pulumi infrastructure-as-code tool, giving MND room to scale during periods of increased interest in switching energy suppliers.
What the project delivered
We launched the new platform within six months of commissioning, giving MND a modern digital platform that provides customers with clear information about energy prices, enables consumption calculations, offers access to solar solutions and links to existing contract management applications. The result is a unified, easily manageable system for the supplier’s more than 269,000 customers across the Czech Republic, replacing two outdated CMSs.
The collaboration did not end at launch. UX optimisation is ongoing, and MND and Bluesoft also shared their experience of the project publicly at Bluesoft Tech Day 2025, where they presented the move to Xperience by Kentico to other companies in the sector.
