Zátiší Group’s latest concept on a unified Umbraco platform
Zátiší Group is one of the most established Czech gastronomy groups. Founded in 1991, it celebrates its 35th anniversary this year and is the largest catering service on the Czech market. With the Bursa concept, after years of fine dining, it is opening up significantly for the first time to more accessible, everyday dining: a “modern pub” in the historic building of a former meat-market exchange (dating from 1895) in Holešovice Market. For its launch, we built a completely new bespoke website on the Umbraco platform, which Zátiší Group is standardising as a unified CMS for managing its websites.

What needed to be created
The aim was to prepare the launch of a website for Bursa, the group’s latest concept, while also building it on the platform that Zátiší Group uses for its other projects and wants to gradually standardise for managing its websites. Instead of different CMSs for individual brands and restaurants, the group is therefore moving towards a single content management environment.
The website needed to be custom-built according to the supplied design, fully responsive and focused on reusable components. It was also essential for the client’s editors to be able to manage the content, photographs and restaurant menu themselves, without the involvement of a developer. A high-quality website of its own is becoming increasingly important for restaurants. According to industry trends, digital channels are becoming standard, while a direct online presence helps maintain the relationship between the restaurant and its guests. (An industry trend, not a result of Bursa.)

What Bursa needed
• A completely new bespoke website based on the supplied design
• Full responsiveness and reusable components
• Independent management of content, photos and offers by the client’s editors
• Built on Umbraco as part of unifying the group’s websites
• SEO and measurability from the outset (SeoToolkit, Google Analytics)

How we approached it
We built the website on Umbraco CMS and the ASP.NET Core 9 framework. We developed it to fit into the unified Zátiší Group platform. This gives the group one content management environment instead of different CMSs for individual brands. The website is fully responsive, bespoke-built based on the supplied design and made from reusable components, allowing the client’s editors to manage content, photographs and the restaurant menu independently, without needing developer intervention.
We addressed performance, among other things, by automatically converting images to WebP format. SEO is handled by the SeoToolkit tool, while measurement is provided through integration with Google Analytics. The delivery also includes deployment, cloud hosting and the website’s long-term development.

What the project delivered
We successfully launched the Bursa website into production before the restaurant opened. Zátiší Group now has a bespoke website for its latest concept, fully managed by its own editors and built on the same platform being unified across the group.
Bursa restaurant is only just opening, so we do not yet have operational or visitor data. We will therefore add the results section to this case study after the opening. Even now, Bursa represents another step towards unifying the group's digital presence on a single platform.
